The CBBO (Cluster-Based Business Organizations) project is a key initiative under the Government of India’s Central Sector Scheme for Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). It aims to empower small and marginal farmers by organizing them into FPOs, enhancing their market access, financial strength, and business capabilities. Funded by the central government through agencies like SFAC, NABARD, and NCDC, CBBOs play a pivotal role in farmer mobilization, capacity building, business planning, and establishing market linkages, driving sustainable agricultural growth and rural prosperity.
