Who we are?
Purvanchal Gramin Seva Samiti is a Social Reach-out Initiative of the Diocese of Gorakhpur, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh (India). PGSS engages in various relief, rehabilitation and sustainable programmes for children, youth and women across seven districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Do you accept foreign contribution?
Yes. We have separate bank account, registered with Ministry of Home Affairs. Donors who wish to contribute can contact us.
Does your organization have tax exemption under 80G?
Yes. All donations made to the organization are exempted U/s 80G of Income Tax Act, 1961. The NGO will provide a receipt to the donor.
How you keep the donor information safe?
As a credible organization, we honour the privacy of our donors. The donor data is not exposed or shared with any external agency under any circumstances. We have the mechanism and server system where the records are kept safe. The entire setup is protected and monitored by surveillance system and management.
What information is sent to the donor and how the donors get the tax receipt?
The donor gets an instant acknowledgement mail along with an SMS. On receiving the reconciliation statement from the bank, a receipt is sent via e-mail immediately. We send communication material every quarter to the donors, providing updates on program activities and sharing success stories of PGSS work supported by your donations.
How long do I have to sponsor?
It depends on you whether you wish to sponsor for a month, for a year, for 2-3 years or life long.
Is the website safe for online payment?
Yes, the website is safe for any kind of transaction. Also, any information exchange is kept safe and in no condition gets disclosed. The payment gateway is a third-party payment gateway recognized by the financial institutions under the government of India. So, any transaction also is thoroughly secured.
How PGSS uses my donation?
We ensure that contribution made by people is used for the welfare of the beneficiary and for the intended cause. General donation is used for providing food and nutrition, medicines and health care; educational stationery like books, notebooks, school bags, uniforms, etc., and for providing sports and recreational material for children.
