Purvanchal Gramin Seva Samiti (PGSS), established in 1986, promotes inclusive development across 07 districts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, empoweringmarginalized communities through health, education, livelihoods and socialwelfare guided by a vision of justice, gender equity, and fullness of life for all.We invite applications from qualified and committed professionals for adistinctive project supporting children with disabilities (0–18 years) in 25 GramPanchayats of Brahmpur Block, Gorakhpur District, offering need-based rehabilitation services including physiotherapy, special education, and speech therapy through centre-based and home-based models.
Positions Available:
1. Physiotherapist (02 Positions)
Type: Full-Time Field-Based
Salary: ₹30,000/month
(Field travel expenses will be reimbursed as per organizational norms)
Overall Role:
Provide physiotherapy services to children with locomotor disabilities, enhancing mobility, strength, and functional independence through centre-based and home-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed physical assessments
• Develop and implement Individualized Rehabilitation Plans (IRPs)
• Recommend and support use of assistive devices
• Train families/caregivers in home-based exercises and handling techniques
• Maintain accurate therapy records and progress documentation• Collaborate with other professionals for holistic care
Qualification & Experience:
• Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized university
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in paediatric or disability rehabilitation
• Strong communication, documentation, and motivational skills
• Willingness to travel and work in rural settings
2. Special Educator (02 Positions)
Type: Full-Time Field-Based
Salary: ₹25,000/month
(Field travel expenses will be reimbursed as per organizational norms)
Overall Role:
Deliver specialized educational support tailored to the learning needs of children with disabilities through centre-based and home-based services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct educational and cognitive assessments
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Deliver special education sessions at the Early Intervention and Special Resource Centre
(EISRC) and homes
• Design and adapt Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs)
• Train parents to support learning at home
• Maintain progress records and contribute to IRPs
Qualification & Experience:
• Master’s degree in Special Education from a recognized university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in inclusive or special education
• Proficiency in developing TLMs and IEPs• Strong interpersonal and motivational skills
3. Speech Therapist (01 Position)
Type: Full-Time Field-Based
Salary: ₹30,000/month
(Field travel expenses will be reimbursed as per organizational norms)
Overall Role:
Address speech, language, and swallowing difficulties in children with disabilities through individualized therapy plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments of speech, language, and communication abilities
• Develop and implement therapy plans
• Train families/caregivers in communication strategies and exercises
• Maintain detailed therapy records and contribute to IRPs
• Collaborate with educators and physiotherapists for integrated care
Qualification & Experience:
• Master’s degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Empathy and adaptability in working with children and families
4. MIS & Documentation Officer (01 Position)
Type: Full-Time Field-Based
Salary: ₹25,000/month
Overall Role:
Manage project data systems, documentation, and reporting to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and timely submission.Key Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain the Management Information System (MIS)
• Collect, clean, and analyse data from field activities
• Prepare progress reports, baseline surveys, and case studies
• Manage project files, records, and visual documentation
• Provide technical support for digital tools and online applications
Qualification & Experience:
• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field
•Proficiency in English and computer applications (Excel, MIS tools, data analysis)
• Minimum 05 years of experience in documentation and reporting in development projects
5. Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Worker (15 Positions)
Type: Full-Time Field-Based
Salary: ₹13,000/month
(Field travel expenses will be reimbursed as per organizational norms)
Overall Role:
Serve as the primary community contact for disability interventions, facilitating identification, referrals, and follow-up support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cover 02 Gram Panchayats each, supporting approx. 20 children with disabilities
• Conduct home visits and assist in rehabilitation and education activities
• Facilitate linkages with government schemes and services
• Organize meetings with OPDs and local stakeholders
• Maintain records, photographs, and case studies
• Support data collection and digital documentationQualification & Experience:
• Graduate degree in any discipline
• Proficiency in Hindi and local dialects
• Strong communication and community engagement skills
• Prior experience in disability or community work preferred
